Job Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including how-to guides, presentations, system administration guides, implementation guides, end user product documentation, and API documentation.   

  • Conduct regular content reviews to ensure product documentation is clear, up to date, accessible, and adheres to our internal quality standards.  

  • Own the desktop publishing process to ensure all documentation is consistent and of the highest quality.  

  • Collaborate with a diverse team of subject matter experts, product managers, software engineers, system architects, system administrators, implementation managers, and enablement staff to ensure technical accuracy and completeness of documentation.

  • Maintain a centralized knowledge base that is logically organized and enables internal and external users to quickly access digital documentation on demand.

  • Partner with product marketing to ensure internal and external documentation adheres to the organization’s branding and style guide.

  • Maintain a strong awareness of target audiences and ensure all documentation is accessible and accurate, reflecting a deep understanding of audience needs.

  • Ensure product documentation is seamlessly integrated with other digital platforms.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical writing, with a focus on creating technical documentation for software or technology products.  

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience creating, managing, and publishing product documentation. 

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong command of grammar and style.

  • Detail-oriented, consistently delivering polished, accurate, and comprehensive written materials.

  • Expertise in using technology to improve documentation efficiency and quality.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently. 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and deliver results. 

  • Experience with a documentation portal and/or ticketing environment such as Document360 or Jira preferred.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • Previous experience in client/customer enablement preferred. 

  • Previous experience in the mortgage, enterprise data, real estate, or insurance industries preferred.
