Location: Baja California Border Cities (Relocation to CA, AZ, or NV upon completion) Initial hybrid/online training and U.S. licensure preparation prior to relocation to CA, AZ, or NV upon completion.
Employment Type: Full-Time | Minimum 3-Year Commitment (Extension opportunities available based on US visa & client requirements)
About the Program
The Zventus Mexican Red Cross Medical Assistant Program is a specialized training and placement initiative created to connect qualified medical assistants in border cities with long-term clinical careers across California, Arizona, and Nevada.
Through this program, selected candidates undergo rigorous instruction via the Zventus Healthcare Industry and Empathy Healthcare Training Programs, receive certification alignment support, and gain direct placement within premier U.S. hospitals, outpatient networks, and specialty care systems.
Medical Assistant Role Profiles in U.S. Healthcare Systems
Medical Assistants in the U.S. perform a vital hybrid role spanning clinical patient care and administrative operations. Candidates will be matched to specific care environments based on their clinical experience and skill set:
Primary Care & Internal Medicine MA: Focuses on routine wellness visits, chronic disease monitoring, patient intake, administering vaccinations, taking vital signs, and managing electronic health record (EHR) charting.
Urgent Care & Fast-Track MA: Operates in high-volume, rapid-turnaround settings assisting with triage, point-of-care lab testing, basic wound dressing, electrocardiograms (EKGs), and rapid patient rooming.
Surgical & Outpatient Specialty MA: Supports specialty practices (e.g., Orthopedics, Dermatology, Cardiology) with specialized patient preparation, assisting clinicians during minor in-office procedures, and handling pre- and post-operative instructions.
Hospital Outpatient Clinic MA: Works within hospital-integrated ambulatory networks, coordinating multi-disciplinary appointments, preparing diagnostic orders, and serving as the primary liaison between patients and care teams.
Candidate Qualifications
We are seeking dedicated medical assisting professionals who meet the following criteria:
Education: Completed an accredited Medical Assistant diploma, training program, or a degree in Nursing/Medicine from an accredited Mexican institution.
Experience: Minimum 2+ years of active clinical working experience (ideally in Baja California border cities or through the Mexican Red Cross)
Language Skills: Professional English proficiency with direct experience providing clinical care to English-speaking patients or utilizing medical terminology in English.
U.S. Status: Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. (as a Resident or Work Permit holder) or hold a valid B1/B2 Tourist Visa and qualify for the U.S. Work Visa Sponsorship (e.g., TN Visa, EB-3, or program-sponsored authorization) provided through the program.
Relocation Willingness: Fully ready and willing to relocate to California, Arizona, or Nevada for a minimum 3-year assignment.
Program Requirements
Prior to Relocation Before final U.S. placement and relocation, candidates must successfully complete:
State-level certification requirements and clinical competency verifications for the target state.
Official English language proficiency assessment.
